Assessment & compliance
Environmental audits & compliance assessments
Independent evaluation of how operating facilities and projects perform against environmental law, NEMA approval conditions, permits and their own management plans, with a clear plan to close any gaps.
Once a project is running, its obligations continue. Developers of projects listed in Schedule 3 of the National Environment (Audit) Regulations, S.I. No. 47 of 2020, must carry out an environmental compliance audit every year unless NEMA directs otherwise, and many certificates of approval carry an audit condition of their own.
Our audits combine document review, site inspection, onsite environmental monitoring and consultation with workers and neighbouring communities. Every requirement is rated against evidence, so you know exactly where you comply, where you fall short and why.
Where an audit finds non-compliance, we work with you on a realistic corrective action plan that sets out actions, responsibilities and timeframes, as the regulations require. The result is a report NEMA can review with confidence and a practical plan for improving your environmental performance.
Experience includes: Manufacturing facilities, mining operations, fuel service stations, aquaculture projects, hospitality facilities, infrastructure projects and industrial processing plants.
