Engineering & resource recovery
Wastewater treatment & sanitation solutions
Engineering solutions that treat wastewater, improve sanitation and meet discharge standards, for municipalities, industries, institutions, hospitality establishments and residential developments.
Untreated or poorly treated wastewater pollutes rivers, wetlands, lakes and groundwater, harms public health and can put a business in breach of its discharge standards and permit conditions. The right treatment system protects the environment and can recover value through water reuse, sludge use and biogas.
INRC designs, supervises, installs and supports wastewater treatment and sanitation systems. We start by understanding your wastewater: how much is produced, when, and what it contains. Our own field testing of pH, conductivity and dissolved solids, with laboratory analysis where needed, gives a sound basis for design.
We then match the technology to your flows, site, budget and operating capacity. A system that is simple to run and maintain will keep performing long after commissioning.
Instruments we use
Field instruments for water testing and gas safety at treatment sites. They are also available for hire.

Scope of work
Anaerobic systems & biodigesters
Treatment that reduces organic load and can produce biogas as a by-product.
Septic & decentralised systems
Septic systems and decentralised wastewater treatment for sites without sewer connections.
Industrial effluent treatment
Treatment plants designed for the specific effluent of factories and processing plants.
Constructed wetlands & ponds
Nature-based treatment using constructed wetlands and waste stabilisation ponds.
Sludge management
Systems to handle, treat and safely use or dispose of sludge.
Containerised treatment
Compact, prefabricated treatment facilities for constrained or temporary sites.

Our process
From assessment to operation
- 1
Wastewater assessment
Flows are estimated and wastewater sampled and tested.
- 2
Options & feasibility
Suitable technologies are compared on performance, cost and ease of operation.
- 3
Design
The chosen system is designed to meet the applicable discharge standards.
- 4
Supervision & installation
We supervise construction or install the system.
- 5
Commissioning & training
The system is commissioned and operators are trained.
- 6
Monitoring & support
Effluent is monitored and we support operation and maintenance.
What you receive
